We came to Turkey ın June 2004 to buy a property and spoke with many estate agents. Little by little we came to realıse that you do not always get the full story or the agent has only a basic knowledge of the legal issues. By the time we met Ozgur (who was working at an English Estate Agents working in Dalyan at the time), we had a basic understanding of the process and what we needed to look for. Our biggest challenge was the language barrier and the legalities of ownership and the complicated processes involved in registering foreign title. Ozgur was a godsend, not only dıd he give us the tıme of day to explain all the ins and outs of paperwork, including a full translation of the Tapu (Title Document), he also explained things like town planning, regıonal structures and gave us a full run down of every good and bad thing that could happen, with realistic time frames and where all the hidden costs can come from. He has a great knowledge of the town and the surroundıng areas and speaks perfect English and is a great teacher of Turkish too, making everything seem effortless.
We ended up buying a lovely traditıonal Turkish house in the old part of Dalyan town, very close to the centre. İt was on a large block nearly 1,300m2 with another building at the back of the block which had two self contained single bedroom apartments.
Everything went through smoothly and in August we had our names and photos on a new Tapu making us the proud owners of a Holiday home abroad (ın fact three homes). It was purchased as a short term investment and the property is bigger then our needs, but we saw ıts investment potential due to its closeness to town and the size of the block. We now have it up for sale (despite loving it) and eventually we aim to sell it and downsize. We shall stay in Dalyan though as it is a lovely town full of beauty and character, somthing that gets destroyed in the larger tourist towns. We shall sell our house through Dalyan Delta Emlak and will definitely use Ozgur’s services in procuring a new home in Dalyan.

We first met Ozgur in May 2005 when we started our search for property in Dalyan.
From the early stages of meeting with Ozgur we knew that he was different from many of the other Property Agents we had met in Dalyan and that he was the guy we should work with.
Firstly, Ozgur took time to make sure he understood our needs and what would best suit them. This meant that neither of us wasted our time seeing properties and land either not suitable or out of our price range. This was a marked contrast from several other property agents we had met. Ozgur stayed very closely involved throughout the our house building project, despite his job being officially done.
He helped us enormously with the building project and we appreciate that we really could not have done it as successfully without his expert guidance and support.
We highly respect Ozgur and his team at Dalyan Delta, not only for the top quality service they provided to us, but for providing services of an equally high and consistent standard to many other customers. They have a deservedly solid reputation.
On a final note we consistently found Ozgur to be professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the local market conditions and rules and regulations especially concerning foreign purchasers in Turkey. He keeps himself abreast of the issues and is not afraid to share bad news.

Having been to Turkey many times over the last 15 years, it had always been a dream to buy a house here - and particularly in Dalyan, which is like a haven for us from the hustle and bustle of living in London. Having started seriously looking, we felt that fate led us to meeting Özgur on a Sunday night, the day before we were due to go home. He explained the somewhat bewildering Turkish property purchasing system in a way that no-one else had and we knew that he would be entirely honest with us.
